What is LIFE COACHING?      12.5% reduction on cost of session for bona fide members of the Armed Forces 

Life coaching is a way of looking at difficulties and issues without focussing on your emotions.  It provides a confidential space for you to find solutions when you're feeling stuck or simply dissatisfied with life.

What happens in a typical session?

We look at what can realistically be achieved

We plan a practical way forward, with goals and milestones, as appropriate

...so that you feel in control of your life again.

Sessions last an hour and are usually booked on a fortnightly basis, but other arrangements are available.  Short term contracts are the norm.

Counselling and psychotherapy methods vary depending on the type of training undertaken.  I am a qualified Gestalt psychotherapist.  The basic idea is that we look at what's happening in the here and now, in order to offer you opportunities to become more aware of how you are functioning on an emotional level and relating to other people.  We can then look at how you might choose to change behaviours and ways of thinking that aren't working well for you.  A particular aspect of Gestalt is working with dreams and nightmares.

What happens in a typical session?

I am there principally to listen and allow you to talk through your difficulties in a confidential and non-judgmental environment.  Sessions can also provide a safe space in which to explore new ways of thinking and being.

Sessions last an hour and are usually booked on a weekly basis, but other arrangements are possible.  Long term and brief therapy (6 sessions to focus on a particular issue) are both available.
